The Development Project Corporation provides comprehensive housing assistance services designed to promote stability, prevent homelessness, and support long-term housing success for individuals and families across Florida.

Rental Assistance

Payment of past-due rent (arrears) to prevent eviction

Emergency Housing Assistance 

Emergency housing assistance supports individuals and families who are at immediate risk of homelessness or currently without stable shelter.

This includes:

Placement in temporary emergency housing (hotels, shelters, short-term units)

Crisis intervention and rapid stabilization services

Immediate support for families displaced due to:

Evictions

Domestic situations

Natural disasters

Unsafe living conditions

This service ensures that no individual or family is left without a safe place to stay during urgent situations.


Transitional Housing 

Transitional housing provides structured, temporary housing combined with support services to help individuals move toward permanent housing.

This includes:

Safe, short-term housing placements

Employment and income support services

Life skills development

Participants are supported as they transition from instability into permanent, independent housing.


Housing Referrals 

Housing referrals connect individuals and families to trusted housing providers, landlords, and partner programs.

This includes:

Referrals to affordable housing units

Connections to public housing authorities

Placement assistance through partner agencies

Navigation of local housing resources

We help participants find safe, appropriate housing options based on their needs and eligibility.


Home Ownership Guidance 

Home ownership guidance supports individuals and families in preparing for and achieving home ownership.

This includes:

First-time home buyer education

Mortgage readiness and financial counseling

Credit and income qualification support

Assistance navigating loan programs and grants

We guide participants step-by-step from renting to owning, building long-term generational stability.

Down Payment Assistance

We assist qualified individuals with financial support toward down payments and closing costs.

This may include:

Grants or subsidy programs

Partner funding opportunities

Assistance accessing state and local home buyer programs

This reduces barriers to home ownership and increases access for low-to-moderate income families.


Home Repairs & Remodeling

We provide or coordinate services for home repairs and property improvements, including:

Hurricane & Disaster Assistance

Early Childhood Education & Development Programs

The H.E.O.T Apprenticeship Program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in the construction and skilled trades industry
